Highland Springs Resort Wedding – Lori and Clay

You may never see a wedding where the pastor gives the bride and groom an old typewriter in the middle of the ceremony, unless you see this one…. Lori and Clay got married by their pastor and good friend Kevin Reynolds of Flipside Church. Kevin has known them since they started dating and knows the story of how they met working as writers for The Daily Bulletin. Definitely one of the best parts of the day.

Lori and Clay got married at Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley, CA and this is now one of my all time favorite venues. Seriously gorgeous. The forecast had predicted some pretty heavy rain in the days leading up to the wedding including the night before, but on the day, God gave us just enough sunshine to have a beautiful ceremony without any mud but also just enough clouds to get some amazing sunset shots.

We finished off the night with dancing and the deliciousness of the pie bar! So in conclusion… Amazing couple, Gorgeous venue, Intimate ceremony, Beautiful details, and Pie! Haha :)

  • Courtney Gill - I just found your website/blog via pinterest, and I officially love you…even though I’ve never met you. Here’s why: 1)All of your photographs are STUNNING!! You have such an eye for what works and what doesn’t. I just spent the last 20 minutes looking through some of the photos you’ve posted. 2)I’m only 18 so I’m NOT getting married any time soon, but I am seriously considering booking you for my future wedding. Haha we’ll see when the time comes. 3)I love that you’re openly christian! Especially since you live in California, I was surprised to find that out at first. It’s really refreshing to have someone with your amount of skill and talent not only honoring but acknowledging the gift that God has given you. Thank you for that. It’s really nice to see professional adults honoring the Lord, especially in a society where that seems to be in a decline. 4)Ben Rector and Dave Barnes are two of my absolute FAVORITE musical artists. I LOOOOOOVE them and I love that you used two perfect and very applicable songs for your website.
Ok, that comment turned out to be very long, so I’m sorry for that, but thank you for everything you do.June 5, 2012 – 5:37 amReplyCancel
